Cancer Stories

Kamini’s story

I first came to hear about Breast Friends through my breast care nurse. I joined about halfway through my chemotherapy treatment as I had not quite come to terms with my diagnosis, and I struggled to talk about it. However, I wish I had joined earlier as the support has been invaluable. I have found the members to be very friendly, and this lends itself to being a safe environment in which to discuss hopes and fears. I have gained tips and advice, as well as emotional support, and it already feels as if the ice is broken as we all have had shared experiences. I am very much looking forward to eventually meeting the ladies once it is safe to do so, and to continue being part of the community.
