Breast Friends Solihull is a registered charity and has been offering support since 2001. It is run entirely by volunteers who have all been affected by Breast cancer.
Our team of trustees work hard to ensure we reach out to support as many women (and men) as we can who are diagnosed with breast cancer.
We offer life-long peer group support and aim to become part of your tools for coping, we are here no matter where you are on your breast cancer journey.
Research shows that stress and anxiety related to a breast cancer diagnosis can be reduced with proper social support whilst also increasing quality of life.
Whether you need to talk to others who understand or need the support of those with personal experience we are just a call or an email away.
Monthly meetings offer a programme of varied speakers including medical breast cancer specialists. Newsletters, along with subsidised outings, spa days, meals out, walks, coffee mornings and classes have been part of our programme of support.
Over the years we have funded vital key equipment for Breast cancer treatments in local hospitals including Solihull, Heartlands and Spire.
Our closed Facebook group offers peer support to breast cancer patients and their families affected by Breast cancer and is a forum to chat and ask questions. We meet monthly on the 2nd Tues of the month in a relaxed, safe environment with others who have experienced breast cancer.
