About Breast Friends Solihull

 Friendship and Understanding
Breast Friends Solihull, welcomes both National Health and Private Sector patients who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. The group helps local ladies from the initial diagnosis, when much seems frightening and unknown, all through treatment and recovery. We are a group of positive, spirited ladies who have all experienced breast cancer; we meet in a social environment on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7.15pm in the SIMTR Centre behind BUPA Parkway Hospital.

New members are very welcome to bring along a female friend or relative.

Emotional Support
The main strength of the group is reflected in the many friendships which are made when ladies meet together at the monthly meetings for informative talks from medical professionals or other lighter hearted topics. Afterwards there is an opportunity to chat informally over coffee with other members and share experiences. Popular features of the group are the varied, informal social events which often include partners and family.

Professional and Practical Support
The group is run voluntarily by ladies who have all experienced breast cancer and is supported by the expertise of consultant surgeons, oncologists, specialist doctors and nurses, who are committed to providing the best treatment for breast cancer patients. On a practical level Breast Friends can offer financial help towards many support services to help women going through this difficult time.
